Trainers

The origins of APEX Movement can be traced back to 2006 when Ryan Ford founded Colorado Parkour. In September 2006, Ryan established the first formal parkour training program in the USA, the Colorado Parkour Academy at The Spot Bouldering Gym in Boulder. Soon after, the academy expanded it's programs by teaching out of an additional gym in Denver. In March 2009, APEX Movement opened it's first location in downtown Denver, Colorado. After a year of success, the gym outgrew it's first home and moved to a bigger location in Englewood. In July 2010, a second location was opened in Boulder.

The founders and head trainers of APEX Movement Englewood are Ryan Ford and Will Schultz. Both Ryan and Will have an extensive background in fitness and athletics including weightlifting, CrossFit, football, soccer, and track. Ryan and Will also have a combined 12 years experience teaching fitness, parkour, gymnastics, and other sports to adults and kids.

In addition, Ryan and Will are two former members of The Tribe, a national parkour team consisting of the leading practitioners from around the country. In the past 5 years, Ryan and Will have held major sponsorships with K-Swiss and Native Eyewear, been featured by ESPN and New Yorker Magazine, performed around the world, and done stunts on Hollywood blockbusters like "I Am Legend". Additionally, Ryan has spent six weeks in France and England honing his skills and teaching abilities with some of the leading practitioners in the world including the Yamakasi and Parkour Generations.
