New LVL 1 Instructor - Mason Fleet January 21, 2012 Congratulations to Mason Fleet for finishing our rigorous, 100+ hr. long LVL 1 parkour instructor certification! In addition to teaching and training parkour in the Denver area, Mason is a part of the APEX Movement pro team. Winter Camps for Kids and Teens December 1, 2011 After our wildly successful parkour camps last summer, we will be offering a beginner and advanced movement arts camp for ages 9-16 on Dec. 19-23. Campers will attend for 3 hours a day for 5 days in a row focusing on a different movement art each day; Parkour/Freerunning, Tricking, Breakdancing, Gymnastics/tumbling, and Ninja Warrior (Sasuke). APEX Movement Parkour/Freerunning Level 1 Certification October 8, 2011 In December and January, we will be holding APEX Movement Parkour/Freerunning Level 1 Certification courses that are open to the public for the first time in its 3 year existance. We will be awarding up to five $300 scholarships to the top instructors of our choice who submit applications before Dec. 1. For more information, go to the AMP LVL 1 Certification page.

2011 Colorado Freerunning Championships November 8, 2011 On Saturday, we held the 2011 Colorado Freerunning Championships which saw 25 of Colorado's best go up against a challenging course at APEX Movement Englewood. The results for the youth division are: 1. Landon Roberts, 2. Aidan Lieb, 3. Casey Wilson, and 4. Elijah Muller. The results for the adult division are 1. Sean Higgins, 2. Justin Clark, 3. Kenny Sullivan, 4. Caleb Garnham, 5. Erica Madrid, 6. Lorin Ball, 7. John Lamb, and 8. Christian Greene. You can see some of the runs on the APEX Movement Youtube Channel.

New Classes and Changes to Memberships October 8, 2011 Over the next month, we will be adding in several new programs including a Parkour Lite program for adults, a separate parkour program for teens, and several new youth classes. We will also be making minor time changes to several other classes. Lastly, we have modified our memberships so that all of them include FREE unlimited open gym and varying discounts to special events. All movement classes and CrossFit classes are now lumped together in the same classification. We have made these changes to offer YOU more value in your membership. It is now easier and cheaper than ever to attend multiple classes, workouts, and open gyms every day so you can get better results faster! If you would like to know how any of this affects you, please send us an email.

Schedule Changes to CF WODs and Open Gym October 2, 2011 We have just added 11 more hours of open gym every week! In addition to the current hours, open gym is now also on Mon.-Thu. from 4-6 PM and Fri. from 4-9 PM. Open gym memberships only cost $65/month (cheaper with a student or MIL/LEO/FF discount). That's $8/session if you average twice a week and only $5 if you average three times a week! Additionally, all weekday CrossFit WODs at APEX Englewood will be bumped up to 4 and 5 PM starting on Mon., Oct. 10.

New Level 1 Parkour Courses August 19, 2011 We have 3 new LVL 1 PK/FR weekday sessions starting next week. There will now be a 10 week long Monday course from 6:30-8pm, a 5 week long Tue./Thu. course from 6:30-8pm, and a 10 week long Wed. course from 5-6:30pm. This new schedule is designed to give our students more options for classes and times.

New Classes August 18, 2011 We are happy to announce a new tricking class taught by Cosmo Dudley on Saturdays from 12:30-1:30pm starting on August 27. Additionally, we have moved the LVL 3 Parkour/Freerunning class to 6:30-8pm on Wednesdays. Last off, we have moved the Ninja Warrior class to 8-9pm on Wednesdays.

APEX Movement Parkour Classes in Northern CO August 16, 2011 Introducing APEX Movement parkour classes starting this Tuesday in Loveland, CO, at Orchards Athletic Club, 289 East 29th Street. Tuesday nights 6-7:30pm. Classes will be taught by APEX Movement instructors, Justin and Jesse Clark.

American Ninja Warrior 3 August 11, 2011 Be sure to tune in to G4 on Sundays at 7pm to catch a handful of APEX Movement athletes killing it on the new season of American Ninja Warrior!

New Level 1 Instructor - Charles St. John July 30, 2011 Congratulations to Charles St. John for finishing our rigorous, 120+ hr. long LVL 1 parkour instructor certification! In addition to teaching and training parkour in the Denver area, Charles is the man responsible for running a successful parkour club at DU.

Introducing Mason Fleet July 11, 2011 Introducing Mason Fleet as the newest addition to the APEX Movement Pro Team. Mason has been training with APEX Movement for 4 years now. He recently killed it on the Move Beyond Possible tour we did and won the Ninja Warrior competition we held in January. We expect great things from Mason and are stoked to have him on board!

Freerunning Competition July 9, 2011 For the first time ever, we will be hosting a freerunning competition at the Englewood gym on July 30. Since this is the first one we have done, it will be just for fun so everyone who takes part can get some experience on how these will work. It is also free to spectate so come check it out!

2011 National Jam and Invitational June 28, 2011 We will be hosting the 2011 Colorado National Jam on August 5-7 along with the APEX Movement Invitational on August 6 at the Englewood gym. YPO Performance March 10, 2011 At this year's Young Presidents Organization's Global Leadership Summit, the APEX Movement Pro Team performed alongside the Ascendance rock climbing performers, the Yellow Designs BMX team, and the Flying Ace All-Stars trampoline team. Introducing Dylan Baker February 24, 2011 Introducing Dylan Baker as the newest addition to the APEX Movement Pro Team and Instructor Team. Almost 1 yr. ago, Dylan was the 2nd person to complete our LVL 1 instructor cert. Dylan is already a local legend in CO and is a rising star on Jump City, the new parkour show on G4. We expect great things from Dylan and are stoked to have him on board!

New Level 1 Instructor - Christian Greene February 5, 2011 Congrats to Christian Greene for becoming the 6th person and youngest ever to complete APEX Movement's rigorous 120+ hr. Level 1 Parkour Instructor certification. Christian is known for his rocket powered legs and can regularly be found training and teaching all around the Boulder/Denver area!

HP Performance Video January 27, 2011 Last month, the APEX Movement pro team put on a performance at HP's Rock On 2011 event held in Denver. The team did a 4 minute show moving throughout the venue interacting with scaffolding, walls, staging, and other obstacles. Ryan Ford was the stunt coordinator and the performers were Jake Smith, Andy Taber, Amos Rendao, and Erica Madrid. Check out the video here.

Ninja Warrior Competition Results January 15, 2011 The winner of this year's Ninja Warrior Competition at APEX Movement was Mason Fleet and the runner up was Sat Khalsa. The winner of the youth division was Elijah Muller and for women it was Erica Madrid. Levi Meeuwenberg was a special guest and was the only one to complete the final course. New Certified LVL 1 Parkour Instructor January 4, 2011 Congratulations to to Risa Scott for becoming the first female to complete APEX Movement's rigorous Level 1 Parkour Instructor certification. Risa practices and teaches in Boulder and also regularly cross-trains in a variety of sports including rock climbing, dirt biking, and hockey!

Ninja Warrior Event December 29, 2010 On Jan. 15, we will be hosting our 2nd Annual Ninja Warrior Competition with plenty of courses and prizes (including a sponsored trip to the next LA tryouts) for all skill levels. Last year, the winner, Paul Kasemir, earned a sponsored trip from APEX Movement to try out for Ninja Warrior in LA and ended up making it all the way to Japan! 2010 APEX Movement Invitational August 12, 2010 On August 7, 23 of the best athletes in the country, representing 8 different states, competed in the first ever national parkour competition, the 2010 APEX Movement Invitational sponsored by XingTea and Native Eyewear. Sat Khalsa from Boulder and Erica Madrid from Denver, both representing APEX Movement, were the top male and female athletes. Parkour Camp for Kids August 11, 2010 We ran two highly successful youth parkour camps this summer and plan to expand them even further in the future. In this video, the kids show off the parkour and freerunning skills they learned throughout the week.

WFPF Clinic this Wednesday! July 3, 2010 This Wednesday, APEX Movement's Denver location will be hosting a WFPF clinic featuring Tim Sheiff, Daniel Arroyo, Pip Andersen, Max Henry, and Philip Doyle. The event will be held from 8-10 PM and will be $20 per person.

APEX Movement Boulder is officialy moved in! June 19, 2010 APEX Movement Boulder has officially moved into its new location! Beginning this week, all future Boulder classes will be held at the new location. In order to get all of the classes back on a similar schedule, Boulder weekday classes will be taking a week off for the week of Monday, June 28. Denver Weekday Parkour Classes June 2, 2010 The next session of weekday classes in Denver will begin on June 14 and 15. This means that there will be no typical weekday parkour classes during the week of June 6.

APEX Movement Team Performances June 1, 2010 On May 15, the APEX Movement team did a performance for the Battle in the Bubble climbing competition in Boulder. You can see the video here. Also, the team will be performing in Vail on June 3-6 for the Teva Mountain Games.

Grand Opening of the New Englewood Gym May 17, 2010 On June 12, we will be holding a grand opening event at the new gym in Englewood. 2010 National Jam/Comp May 15, 2010 We are excited to announce a tentative schedule for this August's national jam in Colorado. In addition to all the traditional outdoors training, APEX Movement will also host a competition based on speed and completion. Featuring significant cash and gear prizes and 20 of the top athletes head to head, this will be the first grassroots parkour competition of its kind, entirely designed and run by passionate members of the parkour community. Moving Schedule April 18, 2010 For the remainder of the month, we will have a modified schedule while we move from our current location to the new gym which is located at 2622 S. Zuni St., Englewood, Colorado 80110. There will be no new sessions starting until early May at the new gym. However, for the rest of April, we will be holding open gym at our current location on Lawrence St. every weekday from 6:30-10:00 PM.

Thanksgiving Pot Luck November 24, 2009 On Wednesday, November 25, APEX will be hosting a pot luck meal/open gym starting at 5 PM. This event is free for all members/students enrolled in a 10 class session and $5 for everyone else. Parkour Dodgeball Video August 16, 2009 30 parkour practitioners came together on June 27, 2009 for a night of parkour dodgeball. There were tournaments for 1v1 and 3v3 as well as a free for all elimination and a massive 15v15 game. National Parkour Jam Events at APEX August 11, 2009 This year's national jam came to a close with over 150 people attending the weekend's events. Saturday saw 100+ people at APEX for women's seminars, an open gym session, and a Ninja Warrior challenge. Over 75 people attempted the Ninja Warrior challenge and less than 10 completed it. Coming in first place was Tyson Cecka of The Tribe with a time of 1:37 followed by Levi Meeuwenberg of The Tribe with a time of 2:00.

Rock Hard Jam this Sunday July 23, 2009 The first monthly Rock Hard jam, hosted by COPK, is this Sunday in Boulder. We will be meeting at 11 AM the Engineering Center courtyard at CU (directly adjacent to Regent Dr). Rock Hard Jams are a free, new monthly tradition that will take place on the last Sunday of every month at a different location every time. These jams are intended to provide a positive environment to strengthen the local parkour community through training and having fun. After a challenging warm up led by APEX instructors, people will be free to train however they want or join in some special drills, games, or workouts led by APEX instructors.

Adventure Fitness Classes June 29, 2009 We are now offering adventure fitness classes on Fridays from 6-8 PM. Classes may include any of the following; hiking, running, swimming, rowing, climbing, biking, diving, heavy lifting, and parkour. These activities will take place in different indoors and outdoors environments. The effort required will be substantial but scaleable, all fitness levels are welcome, the main need is a determined and open attitude to try and not give up. Parkour in Jeffco Libraries June 24, 2009 This Thursday, Ryan Ford will be presenting parkour to teens at Belmar Public Library in Lakewood as part of a 9 library summer tour designed to enrich the summer reading programs of Jefferson County Public Libraries. MCA Denver Performance / Lecture June 19, 2009 Today, as part of the Mixed Taste program at MCA Denver, Parkour was paired up with Bollywood Dancing. Ryan Ford led a lecture on parkour that also featured performances with a 5 person team from APEX Movement / Colorado Parkour. Video of the event will be posted within a week or two.

Grand Opening a Huge Success! April 12, 2009 We would like to thank everyone who showed up to our grand opening and especially to those who helped us get there! Several hundred people showed up, over 50 lbs. of food was raised for the homeless shelter, and much fun was had by all. We look forward to seeing all of you again soon!

Up and Running! (...sort of) March 05, 2009 We have spent the past two months working hard to get APEX Movement up and running. We plan to begin several of our parkour programs within then next two weeks. However, we will not be officially open until April when we will have our Grand Opening celebration and offer a more diverse amount of classes and events.
